bcmusik is an electronic/ambient/experimental project started around 2003 by butch celani in louisville, ky. originally inspired by the soundtrack to the movie lost in translation, i started writing a soundtracks to the scenes/images in my life. with my music as well as my photography, i have tried to capture a mood, an atmosphere, the feeling of a half-remembered dream. my music ranges from minimalist drones to ambient noise to rock. everything i have done thus far has been instrumental; however, i have been toying with lyrics and slowly building the courage to attempt vocals. currently, i am the only member of bcmusik; however, i am interested in collaborating with like minded folk.
in addition to bcmusik, i have played
drums/percussion with the following louisville bands: festive
zulu, the joe hanna band, grayson hall, pure jesus/nod, one-off
stooges cover band, juanita (occasional live percussion), am sunday(occasional live percussion), monkey boy and the squallis puppeteers drum corps.
